Subscription & Payment Terms

These Subscription & Payment Terms govern your purchase and use of subscription-based services and paid features on Infindo (the "Platform"). These terms supplement our main Terms of Service.
1. Payment Processor
All payments for subscriptions and paid services are processed by our vetted third-party payment processor. This provider delivers secure payment collection, currency conversion, and invoicing tooling. By making a purchase, you authorize us to share the necessary billing data with the processor and agree that its terms and privacy policy will also apply to your transaction.
2. Service Tiers and Offerings
2.1. Free Tier
Infindo provides a free tier that includes:
- Basic search and browse functionality
- Access to product comparisons and information
- Community-contributed content and reviews
2.2. Ask Mode (Premium Subscription)
Ask Mode provides AI-driven product comparisons, personalized recommendations, and advanced decision support. This is a subscription-based service with automatic renewal.
2.3. Verified Badges (Annual Fee)
Product vendors and service providers may purchase annual Verified Badges to demonstrate credibility and validation. This is a non-subscription annual payment.
2.4. Sponsored Placements (Campaign-Based)
Businesses may purchase sponsored placements for enhanced visibility on product pages and search results. These are campaign-based purchases with defined durations.
2.5. API Access (Future)
Tiered API access for integrations and programmatic access to Infindo's decision intelligence will be available in the future.
3. Subscription Plans and Billing
3.1. Auto-Renewal (Ask Mode)
Your Ask Mode subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless you cancel it. You will be charged the then-current subscription fee for the new term.
3.2. Billing Cycle
The subscription fee will be billed at the beginning of your subscription period and on each renewal date thereafter.
3.3. Upgrades and Downgrades
You can change your subscription plan at any time. Upgrades will be effective immediately, with a pro-rated charge. Downgrades will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
3.4. Personal & Non-Transferable
All subscriptions are licensed to a single account holder only. Your login credentials and access rights may not be shared, resold, gifted, or transferred to any other individual or entity without our explicit written permission. Businesses may purchase team or enterprise licenses where applicable.
3.5. Automatic Renewal Responsibility
By purchasing a subscription you authorize our payment processor to automatically charge the subscription fee on each renewal date using the payment method on file. You remain responsible for ensuring that a valid payment method is available and for all recurring charges until you cancel.
Important: Deleting your account, uninstalling an app, or merely stopping use of the Platform does not cancel your subscription. You must follow the cancellation steps in § 5.1.
4. Pricing, Currency, and Taxes
4.1. Pricing and Price Changes
Subscription fees are displayed on our Pricing page and at checkout. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. We will provide you with reasonable advance notice of any price changes by:
- Posting updated pricing on our website
- Sending you an email notification to your registered email address
- Displaying a notice when you log into your account
Price changes will take effect at your next billing cycle after the notice period. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the new rates take effect.
4.2. Currency
All prices are displayed and charged in EUR (Euro). Your card issuer or the payment processor may apply foreign exchange fees for payments made in other currencies.
4.3. Taxes and VAT
For customers within the European Union, prices displayed are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. The applicable VAT rate will be calculated based on your location and added at checkout.
Business Customers: If you are a business customer with a valid EU VAT number, you may be eligible for reverse charge VAT treatment. Please provide your VAT number during checkout.
VAT and other applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Our payment processor collects the VAT details and line items on our behalf, while Quandelia SRL remains responsible for remitting taxes in accordance with Belgian and EU law.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
5.1. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your Ask Mode subscription at any time from your account settings page.
- No more charges: Once you cancel, you will not be billed for any future renewal periods.
- Continued access: Your access to Ask Mode features will continue until the end of your current, paid billing period.
5.2. Refund Policy
5.2.1. Ask Mode Subscriptions
14-Day Withdrawal Right (EU Consumers): If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase without giving any reason, in accordance with the Belgian Consumer Protection Act and EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
Waiver of Right of Withdrawal: By purchasing a subscription and immediately accessing Ask Mode features, you expressly request the immediate start of the digital service and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal under Article VI.53, §1, 12° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. This waiver will be clearly presented during the checkout process.
After 14 Days: As a general rule, we do not offer refunds for subscription fees after the withdrawal period has expired. This includes partial months or unused time. We provide a free tier of service so you can evaluate the Platform before committing to a subscription.
5.2.2. Verified Badges (Non-Refundable)
Verified Badge annual fees are non-refundable once the verification process has been completed and the badge has been issued. The verification service is considered fully delivered upon badge issuance.
EU Consumer Exception: EU consumers may exercise their 14-day withdrawal right before the verification process is completed, provided they have not expressly consented to immediate service delivery.
5.2.3. Sponsored Placements (Non-Refundable Once Live)
Sponsored placement purchases are non-refundable once the campaign has started and the placement is live on the Platform. This is because the advertising service has been delivered.
Before Campaign Start: If you cancel a sponsored placement before it goes live, you may receive a full refund.
EU Consumer Exception: The 14-day withdrawal right may apply, subject to waiver upon express consent for immediate campaign launch.
5.2.4. Exceptional Circumstances
We may consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances, such as:
- Billing errors on our part
- Technical failures preventing service delivery
- Service outages exceeding our service level commitments

5.3. EU Right of Withdrawal Notice
For EU Consumers: You have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of your initial transaction without giving any reason, unless you have expressly consented to the immediate start of digital content delivery and acknowledged the loss of your withdrawal right.
Standard Withdrawal Form: If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you may use this form (though it is not mandatory):

Processing Your Withdrawal: If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
6.1. Chargebacks
Chargebacks cost us and our payment processor significant fees (approximately EUR 15 per card dispute through the payment networks) and hurt our ability to keep prices reasonable.
Accordingly, you agree to the following procedure before initiating any payment dispute:
6.1.1. Contact Support First
Email [email protected] within 7 days of the charge date and allow us 3 business days to resolve the issue. Most problems (duplicate charge, mistaken renewal, billing errors) can be resolved immediately.
6.1.2. Definition of Unjustified Chargeback
An Unjustified Chargeback means any dispute where: (a) the transaction was authorized by the payment network; (b) digital content or service was delivered; and (c) you bypassed the support procedure in § 6.1.1.
6.1.3. Consequences of Unjustified Chargebacks
If you file an Unjustified Chargeback:
- Your subscription and account may be suspended immediately
- We may pursue recovery of the original amount plus any chargeback fee passed to us by the payment processor or the card networks
- We reserve the right to permanently terminate the account
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Belgian or EU law.
6.1.4. Evidence We Provide
We maintain records including IP address, login history, service usage logs, renewal emails, and transaction metadata as evidence to contest fraudulent disputes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6.1.5. Goodwill Reversal
If you dispute a charge in error and retract the claim within 5 business days, we may waive any fees as a gesture of goodwill.
6.2. Billing Disputes
If you believe there has been an error in your billing, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will investigate and resolve legitimate billing errors promptly.
7. Business Customers and VAT
7.1. B2B Transactions
For business-to-business transactions (Verified Badges, Sponsored Placements, API access), different terms may apply:
- Payment terms may be net 30 days for invoiced amounts above certain thresholds
- Volume discounts may be available for annual commitments
- Custom contracts may be negotiated for enterprise customers
7.2. VAT for Business Customers
EU business customers with a valid VAT number may benefit from reverse charge VAT treatment. Please ensure your VAT number is provided and verified during checkout to avoid being charged VAT.
7.3. Invoicing
Business customers will receive invoices for all transactions via email. Invoices include all information required for VAT and accounting purposes under Belgian and EU law.
8. Service Level and Credits
8.1. Service Availability
While we strive for maximum uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.
8.2. Service Credits
For Ask Mode subscribers, if our service availability falls below 99% in any given month (excluding scheduled maintenance), you may be eligible for service credits. Contact [email protected] to request a review.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Subscription & Payment Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium, except where EU consumer protection regulations grant consumers the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
EU Consumer Rights: Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Belgian or EU consumer protection law, including the Belgian Code of Economic Law (Book VI) and EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
